Dorset police launch RU2Drunk in Weymouth this week. Following on from trials by Devon and Cornwall police, the force are to run a three month trial of the campaign in the town.
The program gives door staff the ability to check visitors to their establishment with a breathalyser if they suspect they have already been drinking heavily.
It is hoped that this will help curb the habit of "Pre-loading" and help reduce anti-social behaviour through out the town.
The campaign is being monitored by members of University of Exeter during the run up to christmas.
